Process adopted for Financial Literacy

Target Areas:

It has been observed that although various measures have been undertaken to increase the penetration of financial inclusion till the bottom of the pyramid beneficiary of our country, the success is yet to be achieved. However, neither only supply side factor nor only demand side factor is responsible for this. Thus there is a need to solve both these problems with the help of appropriate policies.

We want to participate in increasing financial literacy for a meaningful financial inclusion with our innovative training tools as per the utility and activity of the particular target group in order to achieve a considerable level of financial inclusion.

Pre Intervention activities will include:

  • Announcements will be done 1 day prior to the scheduled event. On the day of announcement, informative pamphlets will be distributed among the masses to inform them prior to the event. Some basic detail about the programmed will be printed on pamphlet.
  • Informative posters will be pasted at strategic positions of the selected location. Messages on these posters will help to create a greater impact on the minds of people both before and after the financial literacy event.
  • Our team will meet the local leaders of selected locations, to brief them about the program and its objective and convince them to create better awareness among the masses. They shall seek necessary permissions from the block authority for conducting the activity.
  • Our team will also meet the local police to inform them about the program and take prior permission
  • Invitations will be sent to concerned district administration at the district/block level for a better engagement
  • Financial Literacy Brochures will be distributed to participants
  • The awareness campaign shall cover the following topics
    • Budgeting
    • Expense Management
    • Saving Bank Account & its Advantages
    • Deposit Products – FD & RD
    • Loans & Advantages of borrowing from Bank, KCC
    • Micro insurance
    • Remittance
    • Pension
    • SHG Lending
    • Aadhar Card & DBT schemes
  • Intervention to impart financial knowledge

Locations:

  • The financial literacy campaign will be conducted in the selected are:
  • During the Nukkad Natak, Financial Literacy Brochure shall be distributed to the participants of each play
  • Post Nukkad Natak Feedback forms will be generated per play
  • Mass awareness campaigns will be conducted in selected area through interactive Nukkad Natak.
  • Nukkad Nataks will be conducted in each target area depending on population & geography of area.
  • The Nukkad Natak will be in local language & relevant to socio economic condition of the target population.
  • Mass awareness campaigns will aim to reach out to maximum number of people in the area.
  • The Nukkad Natak will be performed by a team of 6-8 people and will be of max 25-30 minutes duration.
  • The timing of the Nukkad Natak will be decided after interaction with local staff and area heads.
  • During the event, banners and standees will be displayed near the venue of the Nukkad Natak.
